Airbnb Holding My $750 Credit After Closing My Account

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out here because I’ve hit a dead end with Airbnb customer service and I’m hoping someone has dealt with a similar situation.

My Airbnb account was closed, and I had $750 in credit sitting in it. Since the closure, I’ve been unable to access or use that balance. I contacted customer service multiple times, but they told me nothing can be done — no refund, no transfer, no alternative solution.

To make matters worse, my account was originally created with an Apple ID login, which means the email address associated with it is a randomly generated Apple relay address. Because of that, I can’t even properly receive messages or feedback from Airbnb’s team — so I feel completely cut off.

Effectively, Airbnb is holding $750 of my money with no way for me to use it, and their support has refused to provide any path forward.

• Has anyone else been in this situation?

• Were you able to get your credit refunded or transferred?

• Is there any way to escalate this issue beyond the first-line customer support?

I’d really appreciate any guidance, because right now it feels like my money has just been taken without any fair resolution.

why did Airbnb close your account?

You may need to sue them in your small claims court @Kim5085

All feedback that I received is that I am against the community term, but no specific explaination is given.

Thanks for the suggestion, yeah, I will launch a case in the local court as well because this is ridiculous.

I need to create a new account to post for help because my old one is closed; therefore, I cannot access the community center or ask for help from there.
