Airbnb fragile system - Guest who's also a host and violates the system to get a full refund violating my cancellation policy.

AirBnB has a fragile system that hosts violate when they use the platform as guests, recently I had a guest who's also a host, who stayed with me a few days and decided they wanted another place because the property was too close to the street (I reminded them and let them know literally a few minutes after they reserved that the property was in fact close to the main road and they were coming in peak season, they decided to confirm their reservation anyway) they knew very well how Airbnb worked, they stayed a few days and then said they wanted to stay 1-2 weeks longer and then get a refund of the remaining days they didn't stay, naturally, I said that I can't adapt to their flexible calendar and that if they wanted to cancel we'd have to follow my cancellation policy; as soon as I said that the guest threatened me, went full attack mode, contacted support and started yelling all the buzz words, "safety" concern, "misleading", "health concern", even "fire", they fabricated a photo using an old vintage lamp saying it was something else and unsafe, started a whole drama demanding a full refund, of course, it was all lies and manipulation by someone who knows the airbnb system very well, they weren't given a refund and the case was being closed, then to my surprise a couple days later I get contacted by Airbnb due to a safety concern, and a couple hours later Airbnb decides to fully refund the guest, including tax, including airbnb fees, all for "safety concerns" and I wasn't given an explanation, nor a chance to speak or explain anything. Airbnb closed the case and put a debit in my future payouts of the full refund that they unconditional granted to the abusive guest (mind you, the payment had been processed already and I had used it to pay bills) , ignoring my cancellation policy, ignoring my overwhelming good reviews, 5 star reviews, and great track record over a stand of several years in AirBnB

It's truly insane and shocking how guests/hosts can violate the system and say all the buzzwords so airbnb does whatever they want, it's scary how airbnb can decide what to do unilaterally, and it's mind blowing how can they put a debt on your account with no explanation.

Now I seem to be shadow banned, I'm not getting more reservations, airbnb is closing my chats whenever I try to re open the case, I'm not getting any help, but I will not rest until justice is served, one thing is for sure, I will not pay for a debt that I don't have to pay, for a guest who threatened me, to Airbnb when I haven't been given an explanation or chance to defend myself, I will delete my account before paying for this injustice.

Yes seems to be a loophole that some guests who know the system well use to exploit and get a full refund!

The moment that guest wanted the refund, you know you are screwed either way lol. 😞

If a guest tries hard enough, he/she can get their refund with the current system in place.

Absolutely, specially if they're also hosts, they will say all the buzzwords and fabricate whatever they want to support their case and get their refund.

This guest in question was even threatening me about "negatively affecting my business" with bad reviews...

I've always knew about guests like this and had to deal with a few situations like this with guests who abuse the system, but never has airbnb went back on a case, on a payment that had been processed already, and put a debt on my account, truly crazy!
