Airbnb hasn't released my payment yet (8 days passed so far) due to a problem in their system. How long does it take for this issue to be solved?

Hello guys! I've been trying to get an answer from airbnb help due to a payment that wasn't released to my paypal account. Everything was checked and there is no problem on my end, but they are saying that there is a problem in the airbnb system and that engineers are working on it. They can't precise when I will be able to have. my money and are refusing to help me more with this issue. IT is a big problem for me, because it is more than 1500 british pounds and I have future bookings arriving and I am afraid I will end up with no money in my account. I am already paying interest on my personal bank account and I am also away from my home. These answers I am getting from their team is not reassuring and neither helping me at all. Any advice?

Several Hosts have reported that PayPal have added new requirements for identity verification, but have not always advised users. This was mostly Canadian Hosts.

My suggestion is to contact PayPal and even if they say your account is fine, ask them about increased requirements for ID verification for business accounts and/or limits on the amount of funds received.

PayPal has implemented a Customer Identification Process (CIP) that requires users to confirm their identity, including personal information like name, address, and date of birth, and may require uploading documents like a government-issued ID.
