My name is Shanice. I am 26 years old. I am moving to Malta soon (June 2023). I am looking for a nice apartment for a single person. I have a budget of 500 Euros monthly. I would like the apartment to be modern and furnished.

@Shanice22 what are the prices like on Airbnb? You can inquire if people are willing to take a lower price for a longer stay.

@Mike-And-Jane0 The prices for an extended stay would be way more than my budget. But I will contact the hosts and see what they have to say.

Have you looked on Airbnb for the area of Malta you are interested in to see if you can get an apartment for that sort of budget @Shanice22 

it sounds rather cheap to have self contained accommodation including bills .

@Helen3I have, I am also speaking with a couple of estate agents. The problem is the market moves very quickly for properties in Malta. Especially for modern apartments at my price range but I'll keep looking.

If a whole modern apartment is outside of your budget then look at a house share. You can often find these advertised on ex Pat forums for Malta @Shanice22
