I would contact the Host and explain the situation. I believe the only way to remedy this would be to cancel the stay and then re-book it. Be careful to ensure you will get a full refund when you cancel. The refund policy is on the reservation details or you can ask the Host.
The Host would need to save the dates of the original reservation for you, while you cancel and re-book. Otherwise, they could get another booking for those dates while you are sorting this out.
