Back to Hosting After 7 Years – A New Chapter in Miami!

Hi everyone! I’m excited to share that after seven years, I’m back to hosting on Airbnb!

I first became a host when I moved to Los Angeles, managing my apartment back in Bogotá, Colombia. With just one unit, I built a solid business and had an amazing experience connecting with guests from all over the world. Hosting became such a meaningful part of my journey.

After years of building a new life in a new country, I’m thrilled to be hosting again—this time in my own home in Miami, Florida! In April, I’ll be celebrating six months since opening my doors, and it’s been such a rich, challenging, and beautiful experience. I’ve been reminded of just how rewarding it is to create a welcoming space for guests and to be part of their travel memories.

Looking forward to learning, sharing, and growing with this community again! Any fellow hosts here who returned after a long break?

Would love to hear your experiences!

Hello @Kathy134! 👋

Welcome back to the hosting life! I'm sure you are excited about this new chapter, where you will share a lot of knowledge with other hosts and enjoy reading their experiences. What are your goals as a host for the first few months of hosting your new house? 🏠

Kind regards,

Alex

Hi @Alex ! 👋 Thanks for the welcome! I’m definitely excited to be back to hosting and learning from this amazing community.

For the first few months, my main goals are to fine-tune the guest experience, gather feedback to make improvements, and build a strong reputation with great reviews. I want to create a space that feels welcoming and memorable while ensuring everything runs smoothly.

How about you? What have been your biggest hosting goals lately?
