Bad guests and reviews LOL

Bad guests and reviews LOL

Hya all As a couple of kiwis living in west africa, we run the compound for a Charity working with rape children.

We also oversee the guest and volunteer accom.

Wanting to ask what we hope is a simple question 😄

We have our worst ever guest checking out tomorrow!

She broke all the rules esp smoking dope and ciggies, inisde the compound, inside the apartment and inside the bedroom and obviously whilst in bed (saw the clear evidence when doing a repair)

We dont know what her review will be but do not want her to base it on our review.

QUESTION... If she writes a review, does it get published if we do not write one?

QUESTION IF we leave it to the 14th day deadline to write one would that limit her ability to respond nasterly which she will, when she reads our honest review?

We, probably like you really really only want good reviews, BUT we also want to warn other hosts.... Avoid her at all "costs" She's ** majorly full of herself, knows everything, totally inconsiderate, whines, left her room ,before we upgraded her to get her out of our volunteer house, as a pig sty, left the shared kitchen the same, etc etc: kooky on politics as in **.. you see what we mean...

Looking forward to your advice 🙂

@Paddy-Trusella0 Yikes! Sounds like a nightmare.

OK - the Airbnb site does not publish either guest or host review until both are submitted (within the 14th days). If only one is submitted, that will be published. And - you can respond to a guest’s review both publicly and privately to the Airbnb community, as well as both publicly and privately to the former guests. You can find this info, as well as specifics, on the Airbnb site. The site also allows you to write private memos that only you can see for your records.

When we had similar concerns about a horrible guest, we followed the community’s suggestion - your review need only say “I will never host this person again.” We didn’t go into any nasty details, but, along with the 1 star, the community got the message.
