Beware of property managed properties in Puerto Rico

We recently went to Puerto Rico for a trip and decided to stay in all Airbnb's and booked 5 different Airbnb's. Four of them managed by management companies and one with an actual host.  The only one that was good was the hosted property.  All the other listings should have been removed from Airbnb.  These are hosts that think that they can just sit back and let someone else run their property and in theory I guess that could work.  Unfortunately, the property managers were terrible and the hosts are not checking up on things.  We rented a $300.00 a night place first and what we found was left over food from the prior guest in the microwave, covid masks and fake eyelashes in the dryer.  Airbnb has this so called enhanced cleaning policy, don't think so.  Very dirty!  The next one $300.00 a night was dirty again, broken washing machine and the air conditioning didn't work. The next one $300.00 a night had broken windows with tape on them, holes in the walls, kitchen cabinets hanging off broken and more.  The next one was $175.00 a night with ants all over, refrigerator and air conditioner didn't work and the property management has on their site that they get back to you in an hour and never communicated with us.  Got the money and done!  Airbnb has a got a quality problem and all those listings are still on their site.  When we asked locals in Puerto Rico about the Airbnb's, they said everyone knows not to stay in Airbnb's in Puerto Rico because they are awful.  Airbnb has an image problem and a bad name in many places and this is why.

So sorry to hear that @Diana-And-Lando0 .

Still the best way is to review and rate according to your experience.

I guess Airbnb will pay attention to those who are not meeting the standards.
