Broken shower

On my guests last morning (shared space in my home) we found that the shower was not working. Although he was very understanding I wonder whether I should offer some sort of refund? He has now checked out.

If the guest is not asking for compensation and when discussing the issue also seemed not to be annoyed, i guess a refund is not nessecary.
