Dear Community,
I am trying to verify my mobile phone number, but always get the following error "Sorry, we cannot send verification code to this number. Please make sure you input the correct mobile number."
It is a German Mobile and I have selected the correct Präfix +49. I have tried my number with a leading 0 and without it. Both doesn´t work.
Looking forward for some advice.
Thanks,
Michael
I have the same exact issue!
It is a shame that no one from AirBnB is dealing with this recurrent problem!
Same problem with Jersey, Channel Islands JT telephone provider. Very annoying
My problem is that the number I have registered is not with me any more, and I am in a different country thus the said sim card doesn't work and the Airbnb doesn't have any other option to be selected such as email or I don't have access to mobile.
Will be thankful if someone could help.
Regards,
Hi there,
Tried to verify my mobile number, but failed with both methods:
Got in touch with an AirBnB agent on chat, but it was a mere waste of time. The associate hasn't got a clue, telling me that this has to do with the browser (I'm using Safari), couldn't reset the verification and asked me to try later, or wait for tomorrow (today)... and I am still getting a "You’ve reached the max confirmation attempts. Try again later."
It is so frustrating... As I am trying to go live with my apartment and also want to connect my airbnb account to my channel manager...
Aaaarrrrggh...
airBnB support offers nothing that helps the situation. Getting the same " too many attempts, please try again later" for over 24 hours. We too are on the road and trying to make booking a couple of days ahead but airBnB's system bug is killing the road warriors and hurting airBnB and their hosts business. It is a shame that the so called added security is giving them the negative return. The airBnB user experience and user interface need a major upgrade. I have sent n emails to the support but have not received and solution..
Hi, I also had a really daft interaction with support, who told me to use different browsers and then in the end told me to enter my friend's number!
I entered a landline and was able to get a verification code but I hope the host doesn't try and contact me because despite what the agent told me, I haven't been able to change my phone number back.
I am having the same problem. I couldn't verify my Vietnamese mobile phone number.
It seems that Airbnb does not help!
So what's the solution? I'm in Australia, with Telstra which is Australia's largest provider, have tried my phone number, my husbands phone number and our landline number and I just get "too many attempts, try again later" but it's been 7 hours now. This is ridiculous, don't they want Australian customers? Yet I have plenty of Australian friends and family who use airbnb. When they say 'try again later' do they mean hours, days, weeks, ....... f*ing years?????
Years later, people around the world still facing the same **bleep**ing issues. What a mess! And calling Customer Support is such a frustrating experience! God these agents are dumb and pointless!
I will list my place on another platform, hoping for a good volume of bookings.
Hi I'm trying to enter my Dominican number but it's not allowing me to do so
Truly ridiculous ... we wanted to try Airbnb for the first time ... wasted an entire day trying to simply verify a number so that we could book a studio in Paris ... Little info on the help page- thank goodness we can see that this problem isn't just ours...
Solution: hotels.com, which we've been using now for years without any problem, is expanding and now offering more than just hotel rooms ... Bye Bye AirBnB ...
I have entered by phone number correctly many times and it will not work. Now it is saying i have attempted it too many times, try again later. super frustrated 😞 can anyone help me?
Hi I am having the same issue! Can anyone help?
AT&T is also not supported. I’ve had the same number with them since 1996!
garbage
I haven't been able to verify my number either. It's because of the prefix is a newer one. I've only had the number for 10 years. I was feed the rubbish supplied by the support team about it being a carrier that isn't supported. I was able to verify my daughter's number. She has a different prefix, but uses the same carrier on the same plan. It's just that they are too slack to actually fix this, and feed their support staff enough techno rubbish so they can brush people off. TBH, I'm not going to use them again!
