Hello

 

This is to inform you that the host didn't refund me the total amount of my first payment. We had to cancel the trip due to a surgery in the dates we would be going there. 


He only refund us 100€ instead of 352€.

He didn't refund even the 50% that follow the rules of Airbnb cancellation policy. If you go into the add you can see that he has all the dates booked. As he told me booking is for personal purposes but, is it true? 

The Airbnb customer service team can't track if he has booked to other guest.

 

I'm attaching you the add from the host and be careful if you book him this apartment.

@Noemi305 Any refund due when a guest cancels is calculated/paid by Airbnb according to the cancellation policy chosen by the host. This cancellation policy was shown to you when you entered into a contract on booking the property.

I think where your misunderstanding is coming from is that the cancellation refunds  apply to the full cost of the reservation. As such if you have only paid 50% you may get nothing back. I suspect the  100 Euros is the cleaning fee which, if you cancel, you always get back.
