Cancellations on a firm policy

I have a booking asking to cancel because his girlfriend decided she didn't want to deal with the wood stove. The whole point is to avoid random, sloppy bookings like this, but I don't want to be unreasonable. What do you suggest??

@Melania36 Tell them to cancel and then, if you manage to resell the dates they had booked you will refund them a fair proportion of what you receive. Do warn them however that you do not get paid until their original check in date.
