Check your map location Airbnb changed mine and guest went to the wrong address

Please check your maps are still showing the right locations . ... had a guest check in over the weekend who went to the incorrect address Airbnb showed on the map to check in.

unfortunately Airbnb changed my map location which has has always been correct since I set up the listing seven years ago. 

they have changed it to a location over a mile away .

I now have an understandably upset guest for an issue Airbnb caused.

when I called them to try and get them to change the map back to my actual address they said 'we aren't able to change map locations' I pointed out they clearly are able to as they have changed mine to an incorrect one 😀

after twenty minutes back and forth they have agreed to 'look into it' 

this is so frustrating when I know they can easily go in and correct it as they have done this before with another listing where they also changed the location to show incorrectly .

Well that's awkward for you and the guest and thanks for posting.  Been to check and all OK my end and I have exact location activated on the map and the address of the listing is correct.

Did your guest receive the correct address or did that get changed too?  Did Airbnb change the number of the house to explain why the guest ended up a mile away? 

I suppose you could ask your disgruntled guest  to give you the reservation details with the incorrect address to use as proof of tampering by Airbnb in case you need ?

We all know that hosts can't make any changes on our location if the listing has reviews and especially not if it has got the "verified" stamp on the location part of our listing! So weird that you are being told otherwise!

No the actual address is still correct so it makes no sense . I sent them the screenshot grab the guest shared with me @Joelle43

I suspect this has something to do with all the changes Airbnb is making to the maps in search results. 🙄

But as a guest Andrea, if they click on your location page, they can pick to have a google eye view of the outside of your listing, switch to satellite mode and get distances from your place to key attractions except this feature is not explained to guests so don't think many guests will naturally find this new feature.  So you're with the new guest version it seems Andrea!

apparently in Italy the satellite mode is not yet available but you can have a "step in" look using the "little man" (see below)
