Creating special quote for last minute guest

Creating special quote for last minute guest

I'm trying to create a quote for a last minute guest. The fees and taxes I see on my end are not matching the fees and taxes he sees on his end.  The difference is about $250.  Is there a way that I can see what he sees so that I can determine if the price he's asking is a price I'm willing to meet?

Hi @Tamala3

Click the relevant dates on the calendar - the pop-up screen shows "guest total". If you click on this, you see the detailed breakdown as well as the host payout at the bottom.

For most listings the service fee is split between the guest and the host - the guest pays a larger percentage. Here's the explanation:

That only works if you are looking at the calendar specific to that property. If you have several properties the view is a little different & you do not get a guest total or anything other that the nightly rate - so perhaps a bug?

Hi @Tim467

If I go to my multi-calendar (where all the properties show in linear format), I can click a booking and click through to the amount of that reservation.

With the new update, the host payout and guest payment now display in different tabs:

Yes - but that's only when you already have a booking. I'm talking about just trying to generate a pricing (quote if you like) that I can send to a potential guest stating ow much it'll be for these dates & this number of people etc.. It worked in the past, but not anymore ... Right now I have to go to my listing & select the external view & manually type all the details in again (& then it only shows me a guest's view, not what we earn)...

The listing calendar is where this feature was working but now is pretty useless from this perspective (IMHO)...calendarX.png

Ok I see @Tim467 . I think you mean you want to send a special offer to people who enquire (because it's not possible to send a quote another way).

You should be able to work out from completed bookings what percentage of the Guest Total (seen in guest view) you get out. Then apply the same percentage.

I remember that there was a time when all the information was available on the calendar for future dates as you say. I think it was removed quite a while ago.

I select the property, & then any 4 nights on the calendar & it shows availability & pricing range, (holidays & applicable cancelation) but that's it. No guest total or breakdowns. There is nothing different (in this respect) than the main multi-calendar. The only place I can now find for such information is when setting the weekly or monthly discounts but that isn't very transparent in what the guest pays.

Hi @Tamala3

Shelley has shared a great step by step on how to get that quote, could you let us know when you've had a chance to try it please? It'd be great to know if it worked, or if you have any more questions!

Thank you so much @Shelley159 for helping. 😊
