Declined guest keeps coming back...

Recently I declined a guest for 1/1 bad review AND for multiple, insistent messages within the first 10 minutes of the request, including sending an inquiry under other dates just to say he's trying to finish his reservation on the first.  This guest has ONE review and it's a bad review - having had damaged property.   After I declined the request, he sent another request for the same dates.  I declined it again,  knowing it would lower my standing.  I should have blocked the dates, but didn't and now, he's requested for a third time.  Is it better (for my standing) to let his request go the 24hrs without responding?  Or decline it again?

Hi @Katherine1261

why don’t you block the guest on Airbnb messaging from contacting you again rather than blocking out dates he wants to travel on.

Start by blocking the dates, that should stop the process, and lower the stress. Then work on blocking the person from contacting you, as said by @Helen3 . This person is definitely making you uncomfortable and putting pressure on, which is not making it any easier for you. So glad you brought this to the community for support and suggestions!

As already mentioned by @Helen3 & @Kitty-and-Creek0 , it's best to just block the guest; not your calendar. This will prevent the guest from attempting to book again and your calendar will remain open for other guests.
