Hi all,
I’ve currently been hosting guests who said there would be 4 adults and 2 children. Upon check in, the initial guest that made the booking had come to collect the key and left, he then arrived 6 hours later, walked in and left after a minute. A further 10 minutes passed and a family of 4 had arrived with no luggage attempting to open the door with a wrong key & eventually left after calling the guest who made the booking. Around 3 hours later a new family of 4 arrived with luggage the booker and have stayed the night. Does this raise any suspicion as to why the family had changed? I have account for these instances with a front yard camera
Thanks
If the person who booked is not staying at the property you can ask Airbnb to cancel at it's a third party booking @Nehemiah4
what did the guest who booked say when you asked them about this?
when the guest booked what did they say about the purpose of their stay and who was staying?
@Nehemiah4 it sounds like the booker and correct number of guests stayed in the end?
Is it possible he booked 2 separate homes for the 2 families and initially, by mistake, directed his friends to the one he booked for his own family?
In that case there may be a 3rd party booking, but not at your house.
Hi @Nehemiah4,
Have you found out more regarding these guests since last week?
I hope Helen and Shelley's input has helped you navigate the situation, however it would be great if you could tell us how it all unfolded in the end please 🙂
Thanks,
Emilie
