I'm dissapointed with my recent experience. I booked a stay in Paris in February, but the host canceled my reservation last Tuesday, just a week and a half before my trip in July. Airbnb offered a $35 booking credit.
When I tried to rebook, the new options were 50% more expensive, and my reservation was rejected. I had to use Booking.com, which also cost 50% more than my original booking. Upon contacting Airbnb support, I was initially promised a 15% coupon, but later told this was not in policy and nothing more could be done. This has been extremely disappointing and stressful due to the additional costs and last-minute scramble for accommodation.
