I received a suspicious looking message from 佳琪 asking to book my place for two months. How can I tell if this is a fraud?
Hello I hope someone can help me. I’m currently staying at the one of the apartments. I have arrived on Wednesday the property is fitted with dishwasher but no tablets were available and there’s also no rack to dry hand washed dishes. I have got some dishwasher tablet of my parents and have put dishwasher on but it immediately started making noise and came up with fault, nothing tried fixed an issue, it keeps on making noise so I had to disconnect it from mother board witch also knocked off cooker. I don’t really need either, really I was trying to do a good deed and clean after myself. I have obviously contacted host asap. I am now panicking that I will get charged for it, needless to say I’m freaking out and just making myself worry as I’m not in a position to be paying for something like this. Any advice would help, I am actually can not sleep over it
@Irina628 Try not to worry (easier said than done). I can't think of any way a guest could damage a dishwasher so there is no way you should be charged anything. Just make sure you have messaged the host saying the dishwasher is not working on the Airbnb message system so that there's a record of it not working.
Do come back for more advice if the host is dumb enough to try to claim you broke it.
Thank you, as someone who owns a dishwasher and also I stayed in this particular apartment before i obviously used it, I have done everything imaginable I cleaned it restarted it but nothing. I message the host immediately even though it was late and I have taken photos and videos of it. I also suggested that if host wants she can come by anytime with technician. I just worry I’ll be charged hundreds
@Irina628 STOP WORRYING. You won't be charged (and even if you are you won't need to pay!)
Hi…so you shut off the circuit breaker? If so, open the dishwasher door slightly so it won’t run and turn on circuit breaker.
Yes, it’s off. With door opened
