Do you leave a review for all your guests?

Reviews.png

Hello hosts 😊

Reviews are one of the most discussed topics in the community because of their impact and how important they are for both guests and hosts.

That’s why I’d like to ask you: Do you leave a review for every single one of your guests? If so, how long after check-out do you usually write it?

I invite you to share a memorable review in the comments so we can celebrate the art of hosting together.

Greetings to all! 🌟

Hi Paula.

Good guests or not I do. I believe that giving an honest review to my guests is a way of improving Airbnb in its entity. For the guests who did well during their stay, a review serves as an encouragement to do the same in  their next booking, and, for those naughty ones, it becomes an eye opener for them to do better in their next booking.

Best regards ️

Peter.

Thanks for sharing this, @Peter4384. This is a real community approach! How do you go about encouraging your guests to leave a review as well?

Honestly, there's no formular for that. It depends on the guests themselves. I've pulled every trick out of the hospitality book and I still can't get them to leave a review 😂

Yes, reviews are equally important for guests as well as hosts. I feel honest reviews are important because this allows other hosts know what to expect from the guest and allows the guest to know what they did well with and where improvement can be made.

What an important approach @Renee771. Have you ever made a decision regarding a potential guest based on their past reviews?

Absolutely 💯

Yes for most of the times! But rare cases where I know that the guest has faced a slight hassle and has a tendency to drop a 3 or 4 star for no reason, I sometimes avoid it. But it’s always better to put a review for better listing visibility

Usually I write a review 1-2 days after check out once everything is sorted from house keeping side and next guests also have checked in and faced no issue!

Thanks for sharing this, @Rohit136! Do your guests usually leave a review for you as well?

Not by themselves usually! While dropping a review, I leave a saved message that it was great hosting and please do drop a review if you loved your stay! That does it 🙂

Yes all do receive a review

How soon after your guests leave do you write the review,  @Rahul239?

After the cleaners have attended the property and inspected for any issues or concerns

I always leave a guest review.

Great to hear that @Robert8570, thanks for sharing!

Hi Paula, Honestly I dont leave reviews for any guests, simply because I cannot see what they have written in their reviews already.  It is a recommendation from me that airbnb gives the hosts/owners the flexibility to see the guests review before they can review the guests.

Most of the time the reviews that hosts/owners make without seeing the other side can negatively impact the business.

If we are able to see the reviews and comments of our guests before hand, then we can make a choice whether to be silent or give some encouraging reviews back to the guests.
