Drop in next year bookings!

I only let about 12 times a year, be now I'm usually fully booked for next year.

So far I've only got 1 reservation for 2026

This may be due to a general depression in the UK.

Is anyone else seeing the same trend?

Cardiff is host to many large events, Rugby Internationals in Spring & Winter, music concerts in May, June & July, graduation ceremonies in July and a marathon on October..

@Judith1074 if you only take 12 bookings a year I suspect you might be quite low in Airbnb search results. Have you checked recently with a covert search?

Hi @Judith1074 , thank you for sharing about this!

I am also reaching to a few hosts from the UK to see if they have seen similar trends for their listing or if they have suggestions for you.

Hi @Tara0 @Helen3 @Abi010 @Beverley120 @Chamitha0 @Tim3904 @Malek40 @MaryJane8 , have you noticed any difference in your pre-bookings for next year? Do you have any ideas or tips for @Judith1074 ? Thank you for your support!

Hi @Judith1074 I'm in the UK also but not seeing much difference in booking patterns. I'd suggest tweaking a few things in your listing which can often work to attract positive algorithms in search results. Also, have you checked your prices against your competitors lately? I would do a few test searches for dates your place is available and see what else is on offer and how you compare.

I wouldn't worry too much at this stage, though, as it's still a long while to go before 2026 and plenty of time to get bookings!
