I've read conflicting answers about this.
As a host.
If your check in time is 4pm, and the property is ready say at 9am, same day, and the host allows guest to go in the property hours before check in time, is the host still covered under Airbnb if something should happen to the guest on the property or the property itself?
Hi @Heidi639 😊,
Thank you for asking this question in the Community Center!
Are you considering doing this at your property?
I'm tagging a few experienced hosts to see what they know about this: @Oksana127, @Joan2709 and @Helen3.
Thank you in advance, everyone!
Warm regards 🌻

I've thought about it, but I heard conflicting answers.
@Heidi639 You nay not be covered by AirBnB, but you should be covered by your rental property insurance IF you have the approval for the guest to enter early in writing.
And see, Airbnb responded to me after I had posted this.
They said if I approve it, then yes the guest is covered, but yet, so many other hosts tell me no.
lol
@Heidi639. Airbnb's terms of service and Aircover parameters change so often I think you have to consider would you do it if its at your own risk? You may get it in writing now but if the event happens in the future, any subsequent policy changes may void it.
This is why when you renew your own insurances each year the insurer provides a document with the latest coverage details and definitions so you can choose to renew or not. Aircover does not work that way.
Just my 2 cents.
