I am being unfairly penalized by a retaliatory review.
The situation was serious: I found a small packet containing a white powder in the unit, which closely resembled cocaine. This led me to contact Airbnb’s safety team.
Additionally, the guest brought three people, even though the reservation was for two, and a phone charger went missing. I filed a police report regarding the incident.
Despite all this, the guest left 1-star ratings in every category, which is in complete contrast to my last 40 reviews, all of which were 5 stars. This clearly indicates an attempt at retaliation and can easily be disproved through the message history on the platform.
I also allowed the guest to check in 90 minutes earlier than the original check-in time as a courtesy, which makes the situation even more unfair.
The department responsible for review moderation denied both of my requests to have the review removed, even though I provided clear evidence and photos. As a result, my overall rating decreased from 4.98 to 4.94
