Fake listing?

Hello,

I booked this home hosted by **. I found it on Vrbo for more than double the price and it was still available for the dates I booked it through Airbnb. Could someone provide any feedback as to if this home is a scam?

Did you communicate and pay by Airbnb exclusively?

It looks legit.
As long as you book and pay via Airbnb I do not see any problems.
the fines for breaking the rules are high. As long as you stick to the rules, that's no problem either

Yes I did

@Hannah1249 I would message the host and ask them why the property is still available on VRBO. Whatever fines etc Airbnb might impose on the host will not compensate you for the hassle of finding yourself with no accommodation if all goes wrong!

Also, in very general terms, individual hosts are often better than these mega hosts as we have more skin in the game.

@Hannah1249  How soon after booking on AirBnB did you find the home on VRBO?  If the calendars are linked and synchronized, it should have shown as booked after about 2-3 hours, but not immediately.

If it has been 24 hours or more and the home is marked booked on AirBnB and still marked as available on VRBO, I would contact the host via VRBO and ask if your booking via AirBnB and AvantStay has been communicated to them.

It appears that this listing is "new" on the AirBnB website.  Perhaps the person at AvantStay has made an error with the listing price when they created the listing.
