How do I file a complaint against a host? A host entered my suite before my time at the AIRBNB had expired and she stole multiple boxes (which she admitted she gave to her friends and brother). She ended up contacting AirBNB and issuing a complaint against ME. My account has since been locked. How do I file a complaint against a host?
You have not given any pertinent details.
Did you fail to communicate with the host
regarding your checkout plans?
Were you using her property as a storage facility?
What complaints did she file against you?
How do you know she entered the rental unit before the official checkout time?
If you refused to communicate, had apparently abandoned the property, and she found other evidence of rule violations, she had every right to file a complaint.
@Brad713 You should do two things.
1) File a police report for theft
2) Leave an honest review of the host.
Without the first of these the whole story feels a little fishy.
-didn't use place as a storage facility, although all I had was a bag of luggage + two boxes of my property
-i knew she violated rules because I came inside before the deadline and she was also there - our communication got fiery because my property was gone and she had admitted she gave it to someone
-filed a police report - they did nothing
-not sure what she filed against me although my account is now locked

how do I file a complaint against the host if my account is locked?
@Brad713 You can't if your account doesn't work. I would go back to the police and ask them why they are not taking action. Failing that an insurance claim seems your best bet or take the host (and/or Airbnb) to court.
Interesting question.
I suppose you could go to that listing and flag it, which might attract someone’s attention.
