Fraud by host, No heat in Toronto winter.

I booked an Airbnb for 3 weeks in Toronto, the pictures and address were misrepresented by the host. The exact address of the place is wrong on the listing, I payed the full 2400 $ usd and a limited refund policy was applicable for the listing.

Things were wrong from the start, wrong address, NO heat in canadian winter was NOT working ( I wore 3 layers indoors for a day to compensate 😞 ] , the host was unresponsive and dismissive. The customer service made things worse, I was double charged for the booking and it took over 45 days for a refund. Customer service was extremely poor, and the whole trip went into disarray. I have made a personnel vow to never use Airbnb, I would like to inform everyone that many hosts do not follow basic city housing laws like " heat in canadian winters " and expressing that the place is freezing to Airbnb customer service executive and the seriousness of a freezing apartment is something that the customer service rep did not understand, the rep DID NOT understand the seriousness of it and that an apartment with no heat is illegal was a pain.

Please be aware of such things that pictures do NOT SHOW and you are likely to be left stranded & cold. I wish I had known about such things before booking and I would have booked a super host apartment with Airbnb. Abnb is filled with numerous such pitfalls- its defiantly not what it use to be in 2016 & 2017. Things have changed for the worst and I hope my experience is some use to you! Have a wonderful trip 🙂

@Daniyal2 did the host have good reviews prior to your stay? I fear you should have demanded a refund from Airbnb as soon as the address issue manifested itself.
