Gift Card Problems

I purchased a Girt card a few weeks back for 200 cash at a Walmart

... The reason being I wanted to have a safe environment to be in while I go see my daughter. Something better than a hotel. 

When I try to redeem my card it is saying that it has already been redeemed ?!! I'm  Confused is this a scam am I really out 200 .. I would of got a room if I knew this would happen. This has inconvenienced my life majorly. please refund me my money or let my know what's the deal and what I need to do to get my Airbnb gift card back.. Thank you for your time and please get back to me.

Sorry this happened...

Yes...this is a common scam where the gift card has been tampered with and as soon as you purchase it the scammer is notified and immediately uses it to buy something. Usually best not to get a gift card in the store, but purchase online instead.
