Guest did not want to book. Request expired. Can't unblock dates

Hi,

 

A potential guest requested a lengthy stay at my place but after an email exchange decided that my place wasn't suitable. 

 

I am unable to unblock these dates because the booking expired. This is preventing me from offering the room to some one else.

 

I have searched for what to do and have found no solution other than AirBnB has to unblock these dates - one discussion I saw said it took 10 days to get make this change. I certainly hope it is much faster than that.

 

Please unblock these dates urgently

If it was a special offer that was done through Airbnb, once the offer expires, the dates on your calendar should automatically open up. What dates are still blocked on your calendar? 

 

If it was a Trip Request that you let expire, Airbnb says your calendar remains blocked until you unblock the dates manually. The help article says Airbnb can block your calendar if some account information is missing

 

Expired Requests

https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/28

If the request expires, the dates remain blocked on your calendar, so you’ll have to open them back up if you decide you can accommodate them. If you missed your 24-hour window to accept a guest you want to host, no worries: Ask them to send new request and throw in a special offer for good measure.

 

Please note: Airbnb can block your calendar if you haven’t provided all the information required for your account.

 

If you manually blocked the dates while discussing with potential guest, you should be able to unblock the dates manually as well.

"after an email exchange" - Private or via Airbnb's message system? Makes a difference, especially when looking at it from their side.
