Hi,
We are new to airBNB and we have had a request from a family with a baby. Our home has no stair gates or plug covers, cot or high chair. Who is responsbible to ensure the safety of baby guests? The host or the guest?
Many thanks
Nicola
@Nicola2377 I would recommend that you check with your insurance company. IMO, it would be the responsibility of the parent as long as you advise them in writing that the property is not child-proof and has no accessories (high chair etc.) to accommodate a child.
I don't accept infants - you can tick a section on your listing to state you don't accept under 2's @Nicola2377
If you don't feel your home is safe for infants I would tick your settings and if they guest has made a request to book, explain to the guests your home is not safe for infants and ask them to withdraw the booking.
Make sure it is prominent in your description that your house is not safe etc. checked boxes doesn’t grab their attention
