Guest smoking in nonsmoking home - Next steps?

Hi! I’m new to Airbnb and had a guest smoke in our home.  Since this happened, I had to decline a booking as I’m attempting to get the smell removed. How do I handle recouping the lost stay and the additional cleaning and ozone generator costs to clear the smells? Thanks!

If a guest continues smokes in your listing, you contact Airbnb and have them cancel the booking @Jennifer4037 

It sounds like you are not familiar with the Airbnb Guarantee - look up details of how this works on the Airbnb Help website and make a claim against the guest if you have evidence of them smoking.

I contacted Airbnb, they said they would contact the person as it was a one night stay and I gave them photo evidence. I haven’t heard back so I didn’t know if I start the claim process or what I do next? Thanks!  Jen

How do you prove evidence of marijuana smoking you walk in and smell it .  I don’t know how to prove it otherwise and I tried one time when I had proof and Airbnb did not cover it
