Guest staying in room 24/7 with air conditioner running non-stop

Booking request said he would be visiting Chicago yet he rarely emerges from the room. He has not used the kitchen to cook any meals.

This is uncomfortable. Today it is going to be cool so I’d like to ask him to give the air conditioner a break- he is here for a month with about 2 weeks to go. 

In my experience, Airbnb sides with the guest. His reviews were al positive but I never would have approved him turning my room into a 24/7 living space.

Suggestions for how to avoid this situation in the future?

Omg I faced a similar issue. My electricity bill was double that month! And the guest booked at a very discounted rate. So this was very concerning to me as a host. My guest left the AC on and left to run errands. I felt that there was absolutely no respect for the service being provided.
