We are new host to Airbnb and had a request to rent our home for two months but the guest doesn't have a profile or a review.
We haven't had any guests through Airbnb yet so we don't have any reviews from any of our previous guests in our home.
The person requesting a stay wants to rent the house for two months which is quite a long time and would it be OK to ask them questions about their stay and more about them.
Have to say that we're a little nervous about this request.

Hello @Debbie-And-Ron1
Was this is a reservation request or an information request? And are you using Instant Book? If you are on IB there is a box you can tick that says you only accept reservations from people with a past track record.
You can tick a box that says you require any guests to have a full profil to book with you even if you aren't on IB. If they don't have a full profil then you can refuse saying you are not comfortable with this guest but try other avenues before this.
Make sure you send them your house rules that they have to accept using the Airbnb message system. Keep everything on the message system so that you have proof incase of a problem or if you need to flag them for any breach of the rules and regulations that they agreed to when signing up for Airbnb
Other experienced hosts have given you sound advice and unfortunately as a newbie to the platform it is best to err on the side of caution. Limiting your max stay is wise when starting out and definitely ask as many questions as you like and you will quickly understand if this person avoids your questions or is on the contrary quite forthcoming.
Your house -Your rules!
All the best

@Debbie-And-Ron1 Absolutely ask lots of questions. Also research the law in whatever state/country you are in to ensure you are not inadvertently creating a tenancy by renting for more than a month.
You are brand new to hosting and the last thing you need is a booking that doesn't turns well for whatever reason. Starting with short stays and with people with some track record is the safest way to go.
Scammers always come bearing gifts (i.e. long stays) to new hosts.

As a new host I wouldn't accept such a long stay. @Debbie-And-Ron1 (have you set a large monthly discount)
Start with shorter stays (up to two weeks).
And absolutely ask vetting questions of all your guests to ensure they are a good fit for your listing.
