Guests changing reservation that alters price

Hi, appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this.  

When you have a booking made and confirmed several months earlier, and the guest later changes the number of guests coming, but not the dates or nights of stay, does this automatically give them any new discount you may have applied (for future bookings)? We assumed once a booking was confirmed at a certain price it could not be altered.

Here are a few other things to keep in mind when making a change request:

  • You can’t make changes if your checkout date is in the past
  • Once changes have been made, any later changes must go through the process outlined above as a new request
  • If the Host altered their pricing for the new dates before you requested the change, your new reservation will reflect this pricing, unless you booked a special offer
  • Changing the reservation dates may affect if you're still eligible for a weekly or monthly discounted rate

@SherylandRob0 It shouldn't change the pricing. There have been suggestions guests can set their own price with a change request but not being a guest I cannot comment on this.
