Guests that aren’t honest about pets

I had a booking reservation for 2 people. The night before check in, the guest disclosed he was bringing “pets”.  I have pets fees and strict pet rules because we have pets too. He was able to bypass the fees and conversation about rules and restrictions by not disclosing that he’d be bringing pets.  How would you handle?

You can request a fee from the guest, however, keep on mind that they may claim them as service animals. This would loke create ill-will between you and the guest.

May be better to live with it for the stay and note it in your review.  That way, point made, and future hosts will be forwarned.
