Hi everyone!
I have guests who booked from May till August. They just let me know that they want to leave the end of July. What should I do? I’m on edge of giving them a full refund for those dates but I’m not sure if those dates will be booked. I’m also a super host and I don’t want them to give them a bad review. Please help.

Hello @Michelle3434
You don't have to do anything in fact and the refund they are entitled to will be done automatically by Airbnb as they have given you a months warning.
This is how Airbnb's long term cancellation works - guests only need to give hosts a months warning for the change to take effect - no need for host approval even. Here is the Airbnb link on the subject:

Don't refund your end though as they will end up with two refunds - one from you (and you haven't been paid!) and the other one from Airbnb!
Hope this clarifies things,
all the best

Thank you so much Joëlle! So if they send me an alteration day should I approve it or no?
@Michelle3434 If the guests gives you a months notice, then normally they don't even need your approval but they must make the alteration from their end and a verbal approval from you isn't enough. They must make the change via their reservation and go through Airbnb.
Guests make instalments per month so they haven't paid until the end of August in fact and long term guests receive a payment plan from Airbnb advising them when their next payments are due.
Personally, I see no reason to refuse and it's good of your guests to have notified you that they are cutting their stay with you. Hopefully they have been good guests and you'll receive a nice review😊
Any questions, feel free to ask
