Guests wanting 6 month deal but we have no protection past 1 month

I do not see any other option but to book Airbnb for one month and convert to written lease for last 5

months. If they want 6 months, host needs protection.  I know of no other way to do it. We give a better rate

for long term however a 6 month deal on Airbnb is ONLY A 30 DAY DEAL. We can't say NO to 6 months.

Sorry I don't quite understand your post . Airbnb is a platform to market your short term rental . @Gary1152 

with Airbnb just like if you took a direct booking for a long term rental if the guest joins for six months, payments are made monthly .

If someone makes a 3 month rental, I block the 3 months for them. Airbnb will only pay your cancellation policy. So if your tenant decides to leave 1 day before the 2nd month is due you cancel and take the rating hit and do not get paid for balance of the reservation read stories on this site about getting paid on airbnb guarantees. I  lost close to 850.00 all documented on Airbnb for damages that 14 ambassadors promised me they would resolve.
