Guests with greedy hands

We had an issue with guests helping themselves.   We have  a wine holder that sits on our kitchen bar.  It holds 3 bottles of wine.  It’s purely for decoration, but one guest helped  themselves to all 3 bottles and another time a guest texted me asking about the wine bottles and wanted to know if she could have one bottle.   I of course said sure.  All 3 were gone when I got there after check out.    I really didn’t care if they took them, they were cheap wines but they could have at least asked and not taking them all

@Dee-Dee10 We have had hosts before complain that guests have lit their decorative candles and now we have a guest who drank the wine left in the property. Sorry but I find this strange. If hosts leave things out in the listing then they surely should expect them to be used. Guests are not strange when they sleep in beds, light fires and candles, and use towels that look pretty in a pile on the bed. Why then should they not drink wine left out (for them).

If you don't want guests to drink your wine then don't leave it in the listing @Dee-Dee10

@Dee-Dee10  If you are leaving wine as "decor", then you should remove the wine and refill the pretty bottles with water or sand.  Add a small label to the neck saying "Decor Only".  Otherwise plan on replacing the wine periodically as your guests will certainly help themselves to it.
