Had to leave month airbnb rental after 4 days due to EMFs, wanting a refund

We had to leave our Airbnb rental after 4 days due to the reason we have explained to our Airbnb host as shown below, we want a refund due to these unforeseen circumstances that are out of our control.

The Airbnb host told us to post our issue and about us leaving here, we want a refund for the rest of the remaining days, how do we do this?

“Hello, we needed to inform you that we have moved out today.

The reason we left is because the apartment room had an insanely strong EMF frequency being radiated in every room which was causing us a whole host of ill effects, we even had a friend who is an EMF specialist come round with his EMF frequency Meter and it went extremely high.

We have never experienced this anywhere we have lived and we are very health conscious people so we did our best to just be out of the apartment all hours of everyday but this is not how we want to live.

We have moved to a location that has a low EMF frequency so we can feel our best and actually be in the home without feeling we have to escape all of the time from the EMFs.

We have left the apartment how we found it and we would like to get a refund for the remaining days left please.

Our health is our number one priority and even if someone paid us all the money in the world to stay at your place we would refuse due to the issue explained.

I hope you understand.”

I'm sorry that you've received so many judgmental replies, as well as people who are new to the issue of EMF who have somehow felt qualified to preach at you.

What many responders don't seem to realize is that there are ordinary levels of EMF that one chooses to accept as part of traveling, and there are also off-the-charts levels of EMF that sometimes occur and are truly unforeseen. Such extreme levels can affect people who do not have a severe sensitivity and thus would not mention it ahead of time to a host as a special need.

Furthermore, even those with a special need sometimes do not mention it ahead of time. For instance, I do have a known special need, so I travel with a meter and with a protective bed shielding canopy. But I rarely mention this, because most hosts don't have the knowledge about how to measure their space for EMF, and because I don't care to risk facing judgmental attitudes. What I do often ask is if an ethernet cord can be used for internet access instead of wifi, as a matter of preference. (That way I don't have to explain my sensitivity to someone who may not understand it.)

So grateful that you had access to an EMF specialist, and despite the skepticism of some of the responders, such access is common -- most major cities have a few such professional specialists nearby in addition to many non-professionals who have access to EMF meters.

I long for the day when people will stop judging situations about which they know very little and instead trust that you are telling the truth about your experience.

I hope you were able to seek recourse and that the hosts learned something new about how to mitigate excessive levels of EMF. You are doing them a service by helping them to be aware of this!
