Help!! Airbnb refunds money to guests after ridiculous complain. after checkin contacted me that they found a book “green witch” about herbals and essential oils that triggered them they are leaving to get Hôtel as can’t stay in Airbnb. But they did stayed for 9 days after this claim! Airbnb refunded all £7000
guest review property prior booking, very happy with all! Property already had 5* 6 reviews like " best Airbnb ever stayed" and etc. guest has new account, same night after arrival, txt me about book they found. I apologies if it triggered them and suggest to throw it away explaining book doesn't belong to me. Suggested invite back cleaner to remove items that triggers them. Another item was Paulo santo stick. They decided to leave property texting me they can't stay in Witch house. They have returned keys only few days later. I did suggested to cancel reservation and if I get last minute booking I will be refunding money but at this stage I have strict policy and can't refund all money to them.
They have complained to Airbnb who never updated me with anything! The dates were still blocked on my calendar. Only month later I supposed to get money from my other few properties I only find out that I'm in minus as Airbnb refunded them more than 3k!!! Without even discussing me! I been super just 5 years with never losing my status never had complain! I asked Airbnb why they have refunded money. Response was safety issues at property!!! I have to pay bills and rent and now not able to do! We are in London.
Thinking to take them to small courts. Not sure what chance I have here.
