So many consequences.
How have others who have found out their homes have been used without authorisation like this addressed matters in general terms?
It's good to see ABB helping out in this most unfortunate situation.
Nothing worse then having random strangers turning up at one's home.
I hope the they ensure that the Camera footage is from time to time passed on to Authorities as there's bound to be links with some of those who turn up & crime.
@Helen427 The makeshift brothel itself was unlawful, but since sex work is legal in New Zealand there's no reason to attribute criminality to the customers. I'd like to think the authorities in Dunedin have better things to do than watch horny men walking to a door, but then again it's a rather quiet town...
@Anonymous New Zealand authorities are very proactive in law enforcement with our Organized and Financial Crime unit.
You would have to be very ignorant or naive to make assumptions brothels & OFC don't operate hand in hand, Dunedin is no different to Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch with what goes on in other aspects of lite with those who use brothels or sex workers.
Methampethamine and other illegal drugs are to common in NZ and known to be used and supplied across all sectors of society.
Whilst the article may not state it, the fact the person whose home it is clearly has reason to "fear for their safety" because of the state of those who are turning up expecting to find those who rented his property as a brothel.
I wonder if other Property letting Platforms we have including Trade Me would provide similar recompense should a property owner or subsequent occupier went through a similar situation.
