Host Post Trip Survey to Past Guests

Are there any hosts that have surveyed past guests to get feedback on changes, improvements and addition to available amenities they may have in order to attract future guests.  Specific questions and examples would be appreciated.

As @Helen744 mentioned, there is a 'private feedback' section in the review process that allows guests to provide this information (although of course they could also mention it in their private review), but this optional. They don't have to fill it in.

Airbnb has also recently introduced extra comments that guests can select when they do the star ratings, which could give you more feedback.

I feel like the review process for guests is already too long and complicated as it is and many guests cannot be bothered with this, so I am not sure they would appreciate the host sending them a survey after the stay in addition.

I think the best thing to do is to check in with your guests during their stay to make sure they are happy and have what they need. If you happen to have face to face contact with them, e.g. if you are a live in host or pop round for check outs, you could politely ask them for any verbal feedback then. You could also leave a guest book at the listing that they can write in if they choose.

Or, going a step further, a short, friendly questionnaire which starts by stating it's optional, not compulsory. When people are on holiday, they don't want to be badgered about these things. We are all already bombarded with so many requests from companies for feedback/reviews.

I think I would only message a guest for feedback if they had left me unexpectedly low scores with no explanation in the review/private feedback and it came as a total surprise.

Denise1459 there is a part of the review system ,still there ,as far as I know, where the guests make personal comments to you about such things. In the early parts of your hosting this will alert you to things that are not quite right and is invaluable... H
