House damage

My house after 3 years was damaged - holes in walls, dining table and they broke into my locked garage and ransacked it. I put in quotes for my wall and other repairs and my quote for fixing was short covered by $800. I was down on the repairs that had to be done in 4 days to then let me honour the upcoming bookings without them having damage. Can I question the 'market value' they paid out on this ? Also they are asking for photos or proof of extra linen. The garage got ransacked and the linen was all over the floors and shelves. How to Show evidence, I get my linen dry cleaned including ironed. I want to be able to get this invoice back as they only paid approx 60% of my repairs. I have police reports and everything but not extra laundry evidence - any suggestions. Same as others they only email and it takes days or weeks.

Sadly, many Hosts are lulled into a sense of a security regarding Aircover. Aircover is not insurance but is a "Host Damage Protection Plan" (Airbnb states this as well). Many are not aware payments are made at depreciated value and lots of other restrictions and exclusions. I'm doubtful you will ever get reimbursed anywhere near your costs. Simply type Aircover in the "search the community" box above and you'll see all the other posts about the dismal track record of Aircover.  For this reason, I always suggest Hosts obtain their own Short Term Rental Insurance and not rely on Aircover. You can read the official terms and exclusions regarding Aircover below:
