Sadly, many Hosts are lulled into a sense of a security regarding Aircover. Aircover is not insurance but is a "Host Damage Protection Plan" (Airbnb states this as well). Many are not aware payments are made at depreciated value and lots of other restrictions and exclusions. I'm doubtful you will ever get reimbursed anywhere near your costs. Simply type Aircover in the "search the community" box above and you'll see all the other posts about the dismal track record of Aircover. For this reason, I always suggest Hosts obtain their own Short Term Rental Insurance and not rely on Aircover. You can read the official terms and exclusions regarding Aircover below:
