@Vishnu42 People who want to travel with their pets will specifically seek places that accept pets. We haven’t actively recruited pet owners because they look for us.

Your description should emphasize that your ‘s is a pet friendly rental.  You could include information about where guest pets are allowed on your property. If you have a dedicated place for their dogs such as a fenced in area, be sure to talk about that and include pictures. It might be good to include local places they can take their dogs such as any parks or restaurants with outside seating.

@Vishnu42

People with pets would b e attracted to things like a dog bed. Even if to make cleaning easier you use a comfy looking blanket fold up and just present well.

Dog dishes that is always a hassle

Poop clean up bags especially when shared grass area

A few dog toys is useful, plastic ones you can just wash in your dishwasher

Also I don't advertise this part but just liked I provide disposable pads for my sheets to limit blood stains, I have available puppy pads because even well trained pets are somewhere different can get nervous and have accidents.  Puppy pads have a scent so most times a dog in the middle of the night when everyone is asleep will chose  that over the rug

@Vishnu42. Easy, add the words Pet Friendly to each of your property name titles; there should be room. That way if they forget to filter by pet it will still be visually prominent.

An interesting question. I will follow the answers.

I allow guests to have dogs in my apartment. But I still need to buy accessories for dogs. I´m new to rent out my apartment.

I think customers with dogs will appreciate that there are dog things in the property.

There is also an ulterior motive for me as a host that I assist with, for example, blankets and beds for dogs. The reason is that there are always clean blankets and beds in my apartment.

When the dog owner brings their own blankets and towels, I do not know if they bring dirty blankets that smell very much dog. The risk will be that beds and sofas will smell like dogs after a visit from a custumer with dog.

That's why I think it can be good to have different things in place.

I think the following can be good to offer if a customer brings their dog:

  1. Dog beds: in different sizes and that have washable covers. Will probably cut a cheaply bought mattress topper and sew removable water-repellent covers for these.
  2. Blankets: some cheap blankets that can be washed at 60 degrees.
  3. Towels: Some towels that can be washed at 60 degrees.
  4. Food bowls: A few food bowls of different sizes. So that customers do not use the kitchen's various bowls for the animals.
  5. Coasters: Coasters for the dining area so that water or food residues do not leak onto the floor. So that everything can be kept fresh.

In addition to this, I am setting up a patio in my garden for the guests this fall. I have then thought that it will be fenced so that it can be easy to have a dog.

Then I have to think about whether I should charge extra for a guest bringing a dog as there will be more washing and the purchase of products for dog owners.

Anyone who thinks like me? What do you others say?
