How to Be Compensated for Guest Damage

Hi. I have over 10k worth of damage from a "guest." I had to get quotes from professionals for the floors, drywall and more. After 7 days my case was closed! I know i should have 14. Does anyone have any tips on taking advantage of my aircover? I can't even make a police report on them because @Airbnb  is responsible nor can I use my own private short term renters policy because they want to know how much @Airbnb  will be contributing. I have called @Airbnb  at least 25 times where I am told the case is being reviewed and someone will call me. Any advice on getting some serious help from a United States Customer Service team would be amazing.

@Andrea6469 you can file a police report. There is a method the police can use to contact Airbnb and get the name and address of the guest. If you have no luck with Aircover then just tell your insurer they are contributing zero.

I suspect your case with support was closed because the Aircover team is dealing with it. They seem to be quite slow so patience may be needed.

Thanks and hello from across the pond! Yes, I was told that Airbnb had to penalize the guest but she keeps on staying at different places so Airbnb has done nothing. So frustrating. The Aircover team doesn't seem to be doing anything about my case. I mean this monster checked out of my house two months ago.

Do you know how to directly contact Aircover? I need to utilize my insurance coverage. Thank you! Andrea

p.s. noone has still contacted me:(

Hi @Andrea6469, thank you for letting us know that the case is already under review. The Support team would be getting back to you as soon as they would conclude the review of your case.

Hi Bhumika (I have never heard this name before so I am trying to pronounce it in my head!), Thanks so much for your help. A community manager here in Colorado has also tried to help me but couldn't get any response and got looped back to the first customer service person who said they would forward the case to the right department and they would call me back. I cannot believe that this woman might get away with incurring this kind of vandalism in my home. I appreciate anything you can do! Cheers, Andrea Sowell
