How to do Coupon Code for close friends and family

Hello, I am looking for a simple solution. I have some family coming to town, I want them to be able to book on AirBnB so that they pay cleaning fees etc... but I would like to offer them a special rate. 

Is there a way to do that with a coupon code? I can't find where to do this.

Coupons are personal, so if your friends own a coupon, they can use it to book your place.

What do you mean if they "Own a coupon"? Do the coupons come from Airbnb? It is not something we can make ourselves and give to people?

@Mary-and-Randall0   It sounds like you want them to book your AirBnB, but that's not exactly clear. If that's the case, just have them send a booking request and make them a special offer.

You are able to send them a special rate when they send an inquiry. There will be a button to “send special offer”. Or if you know the exact dates they are staying you can adjust the nightly rate for only those dates, just make sure they book quickly so no one else scoops up your special rate 😉

I'm curious if you ever found a solution? I'd like to create a promo code that I can display on my retreat business website for my retreat clients only vs all other airbnb guests.  It would be convenient to have them book directly through airbnb so that I don't have to manage multiple calendars and booking systems. I'd love to know if you figured out a way to do this. Thank you!

I never did get a good solution for this kind of situation. 
The closest thing is to tell Spa guest that you give "discounts" . Send them a link to your AirBnB and then when they "inquire" about staying you can apply a discount for them. 

So you have to be in close communication with them.

@Mary-and-Randall0 I've used a 'phrase' before/put a back stop date on it for the week/month e.g. MYPROPJUL15OFF or MYPROP250WEEKENDDEAL and get them to quote this? - Is good for tracking if you keep a record of who might of used/customers/phrases/dates etc.

Can change it regularly so does not get abused (though publicity is not a bad thing!)

Also block a date by putting a high price on it e.g. £5000 and get them to enquire then send back the offer at the correct offer/price. This works best if have multiple similar units/does not block other bookings.

is or if we can use it in the USA or not.
