How to review a guest who left dirty dishes in the sink and on the stovetop.

I am new here, and I just had 3 men stay for 6 days. I did not hear anything from them while they were here and they left a day early. However, thy left dirty dishes in the sink and on the stove and the stove was covered in something that clearly boiled over, which took some heavy scrubbing, but I was able to get it clean.

Would you mention this in the review? or, let it go because you received an extra night?

@Mary5904 I tend to work on the principle that irritating things that are not actual damage do not get remarked upon unless they are so severe that I wouldn't want the guest to return.

Thank you! That was my first instinct, but then I read some other forums who stated you need to report things to protect other hosts.

@Mary5904   Welcome to the world of AirBnB hosting.  What you experienced is unfortunately going to happen from time to time, ** As long as there is no deliberate damage and the mess cleaned up, just move on.  Do you have washing the dishes in your house rules?

@Mary5904 to @Lorna170 's question on house rules. We apply a 3 strikes concept to our rules whereby we only add to them if something happens 3 times. Reacting to every event will make your rules read like War and Peace. ALL our guests to date have done the washing up without being asked.
