How to search for entire place to rent?

For a few years now we travel to Colombia and rent an apartment for about 6 month.

There use to be a function where you could search for the entire place to be rented and not a shared space but I can't seem to find that option anymore.

Was it removed?

And if so, how can we now search for entire place to rent because we definitely don't want to share our apartment with strangers.

Thanks.

We found it.

The ''entire place'' option has been changed to ''home''.

No it's still there - there is a whole listing category @Jean-Francois85

personally I'd never do a long term rental on Airbnb - you have no tenancy rights and pay huge airbnb fees

We found it.

Hello @Jean-Francois85,

Glad to hear that you figured it out! 😊

Are you planning to visit Colombia, again?  Did you visited cities like Medellin, Cartagena, and Bogota?

Regards,

Paula

Hi @Paula ,

Yes, it was a bit confusing to be honest. Might be something you want to recommend to your team to send a mass email for your clients to understand the new system.

Yes, I'll be visiting Colombia for the 4th time now. Another 6 month as I did every year except the covid one.

I had a full day layover in Medellin once and was not impressed. Maybe if I was younger, it would be a great place to party but that's not my thing anymore.

I did visit Cartagena for a few days a few years back and it was even more beautiful then I expected. Sadly, the security level in Cartagena is scary and I got robbed by a police officer but apparently it is to be expected as other ''gringos'' reported the same experiences.

I also stayed for a day in Bogota, and again, It was not my thing. Nothing bad about the place. I guess I'm just looking for my paradise spot and that was not it. But its a clean and organized place compared to Santa Marta and Cartagena.

I really love Santa Marta. Its a nice touristic village of 500,000 of population and people are more relax and some of the hidden beaches are just out of this world. So that's where I'm heading again this year in October.

Have you been to Colombia yourself ?

Hello @Jean-Francois85,

Yes, I was born in Bogota and spent most of my time there. As you mentioned, Santa Marta is an amazing place that's a bit less touristy than Cartagena, so you can have a better perspective of the people and the culture there. I'm glad you're heading there this year. El Parque Tayrona and Palomino are nearby places to Santa Marta that could be nice to visit.

I wish you the best on your trip! 🌴
