How to sync multiple listings calenders together?

I have a property that consists of 3 units, each with its own listing. I have also created listings that combines these units to accommodate larger groups.

Unit A = units 1,2,3

Unit B = units 1,2

Unit C = units 2,3

So if someone where to book unit 1, then those dates for unit A,B,C should all be blocked. If unit 3 were to be booked, then unit A, C would be blocked. However when I try to link these calendars, it seems I am not able to accommodate this. Right now I linked unit A as the main, so if any B,C or individual 1,2,3 get booked, Unit A will be blocked off. But if someone were to book Unit 1 for example, only Unit A calendar will be blocked, but Unit B,C will not.

Hi @Jason2292,

Are you getting an error message when syncing the calendars?

Hello @Jason2292  @Quincy ,

You’re right. Parenting or linking listings together is a very basic feature on Airbnb. You can only link a listing once, and there is no multi-level hierarchy.

Unfortunately, this limitation led me to abandon the different listing options I had for my five units and keep only one listing that includes all of them together (in your case, Unit A).

You have two options:

1. Hassle-free approach:

Keep only Unit A (1,2,3) and link listings 1, 2, and 3 to it.

2. If Instant Booking is off:

You can link listings 1 and 2 to Unit A.

Additionally, you can create Unit B (2,3) and link listing 3 to it.

This setup is not bulletproof! Whenever you receive a reservation, you’ll need to manually check availability.

Think of Unit B as a marketing tool. sometimes a guest may inquire about Unit B, but if listing 2 is unavailable, you can offer them to book listings 1 and 3 separately. This has happened to me several times, but it requires carefully checking availability before confirming any reservation. As mentioned, this approach only works if Instant Booking is off.

I hope this explanation is clear! Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance.
