I would like to know how much my profile looks bad for hosts. I know I have only 9 reviews (4 hosts didn't bother to write, and I think it's nothing personal) and that there are already 2 negative reviews is very bad. Is there anything I can do? Please kindly give me some advice from the host’s point of view, if anyone has time to read.
I'm now flying to the new Airbnb (both the room and the host look awesome) and will have time after arriving. I'm worrying that in the future I will not be able to book.
Firstly I want to emphasize that I did really nothing to be accused, after contemplating a lot about it. I can criticise myself and see myself objectively. I answered the false reviews and gave a review to one of them, and that's pretty much everything that happened. I have no hesitation to show the entire conversations with the hosts and they should prove what I wrote is true. I can also show what Airbnb has written to me about the man, and he was flagged, still the review couldn't be removed. I have asked Airbnb many times since they could see it was a 100% lie, but I think you already know that "Airbnb doesn't mediate disputes over truth or fairness".
For extra information, the man was angry because I said "It might be possible" when he asked me if I flushed tampons, since I remembered that I was very tired on the period days and didn't want to say "I definitely didn't". It somehow became the truth for him and even after nothing was found, he didn't stop accusing me. I also said that it probably had already been clogging since I moved in, but couldn't tell because there were leaks everywhere & I cleaned the dirty drain by myself. Then he started saying "I was intimidating him", but after I reported it to Airbnb he had to change the whole description of the flat since it was nowhere near the truth. I just didn't complain about it simply because I don't like to complain and didn't want to accuse the host for something I could "live with". I gave him a very fair review and stars even though I wanted to give one star to everything. I really didn't want to, but he was aggressive and unreasonable, I thought I had to. I filed all the proofs, still it wasn't possible to remove his review.
In terms of the woman, my guess is that she was offended because I offered to clean the house (she's got multiple reviews which say the house is very dirty), I just had time and I like to clean, didn't mean anything else. Or because many of her behaviours were generally unacceptable and she thought I would write a negative review even though I kept sending friendly messages until the end. I really have no idea why she keeps the house so dirty while she can clean the guests room. She didn't even come up when checking out (I did message her, no answer) and I had to ask other guests (it was very lucky) to lock the door. Guessing from what she wrote, she was waiting for me to "leave the front door unlocked" again.
