I need help with the Special Offers function!

Hi brains trust, 

I am just wondering how the Special Offers function works. 

I have attempted to send a special offer to a potential guest but they are unable to see the adjusted price on the offer. 

Should they be able to see the adjusted price?

I also have issues when contemplating making a special offer to a Guest.

Basically, a Guest wants to know what their total cost of the offer will be. And as a host, I want to understand & confirm what the total remuneration to the Host will be - before I submit the offer.

Without this I am forced to guessimate AirBnb's total cost that the Guest will pay, but I cant be certain that  my calculations will be correct.

Why doesn't AirBnb make the Special Offers process simple and transparent? We're all going to find out the costs after making the offer anyway, so why not make the adjusted costs available before submission ?!
