Illegal subletting

I would love to know how to file a complaint against a host who intentionally & illegally sublet her apartment out of airbnb. We booked it for 7 days unaware of the situation. As soon as we arrive a man walks up & tapes a note to the door saying there was a balance of over $800 owed & the tenant was being evicted. This man informed us that at an point the constable could show up & throw all the belongings out onto the curb & change the locks. So over $900 later & we have no place to stay (I have 4 young children).  Due to this hosts irresponsible behavior my family is suffering. Airbnb issued a full refund but we've got to wait up to 6 days before we will even see that money again.

Sub letting goes on more than you would know, here in Thailand it is illegal but it still happens, 

My guess is lots of host who do this are going bust like with you, rents not getting paid and other bills so they just jump ship, 

I have said many times you as a guest when you want to make a booking, look for host that are the owners at least you stand a better chance of not being let down.

That supposedly 6 days wait is usually about 3 days or less.
